People will not spend money on tickets and go and see the president’s speech. People will stay home and just watch it on the TV. If you work a second shift you can watch the president talk on the Internet.

How do you think future advances in technology will effect citizen interest in inauguration? ANSWER: I think the future advances will effect the citizen interest in inauguration because there are so many people there and it is hard to hear. It is also hard to see the person giving the speech. Also the advantages will help people save money and they will not have to get tickets that cost $25.00 and you also don’t have to travel to a country and waist gas.

It will affect the citizen interest in the inauguration because you can be anywhere (if have internet on your phone) you can watch it anywhere and people who cant afford the tickets but have a computer can watch.

I think that it may affect it a little bit because people will be watching it on the computer and citizens wont know how to do that and they will want to watch it live. So they may not be able to watch it if they don’t know how to work a computer. Maybe in the future they will have to watch it on their computers, but they may watch it on TV’s to. In the future computers may be faster and easier and also may have more thins to them. On TV’s it is a little easier to watch but maybe people wont want to watch it on the TV

  10. Marcella,
Future technology advances will affect citizen’s interest in the inauguration by ticket sales going down, now that we can access it on the computer and the T.V. for free not many people will spend money on going out to buy tickets.

I work for a farm cooperative in Illinois and lobby for only ag related issues by talking to our State Representatives via letters through e-mails and visits to Capital Hill.I receive 98% of all my correspondence electronically. Much of it is garbage although because it is so easily sent, the volume of legitimate information is extremly high to any government affairs lobbyist to stay on top of. I hear 2 to 3 times each week from the political parties asking for input and money. Throughtout each day I am in touch with organizations (some of which are supported through membership contributions from my employer) and with lobbyists working special interests in Washington, D.C. or the State Capital. I received an e-mail from The National Council of Farmers Cooperative concerning my interest in attending the inauguration, of which I declined. No special invitation was sent to me.
