  1. Thank you Mr. Gasser for telling us about Russia. I learned much about the Russian culture, which I had never known before. I was shocked to find out that babies in the Orphanages have stopped crying because; they realize no one is going to coming to comfort them anymore. A lot of the children that go to the states have mental health issues because they never had the loving bond as a child.

  2. Thank you Mr.Gasser for explaining Russia to me! The stories you told our class were amazing. I was surprised to find out that Russian women are considered better looking than American women, even though they don’t shave their legs. I was also surprised to hear that not many people (especially young women) are over weight. It is unfortunate that the language barrier stopped you from learning more about the Russian churches. I liked the fact that most churches are slowly being remodeled and restored. Thank you again Mr.Gasser for telling me more about Russia.

  4. Thank you Mr. Gasser for telling us about Russia. I was shocked that babies that are in Orphanages don't cry because they know that know is going to comfort them anymore and then when they come to America they have a mental health issue because they are not use to having someone love and care for them. They never had a love bond as a child.

  5. Russian Curriculum consists mainly of math and science. They have few art and music classes. The economy is ten times worse then the American economy. 3,000 rubles use to be able to by you a car. Now days in Russia 40,000 rubles will buy you groceries. The hospitals are very poor. They have health care but their hospitals are so bad that they have a bigger chance of dieing in the hospital. The mob runs Russia. Vladimir Putin (the prime minister) may look like he is running Russia. But the mob is what runs the cities and really all of Russia. They are what is remaining of the KGB back from the communistic times. The food in Russia mainly consists of meat, bread, and potatoes. The bread in Russia is very good. The meat and potatoes is sometimes disease ridden though. The military is very much out and about in the cities. The police and the military roam the streets and keep order. Russian streets are safer almost then the United States. Schools are very much like us. They are just regular kids. They get almost 3 hours of homework every night. Which is much more then what we get in America at this age. The schooling system is a little different. There is class from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Then there is sports and clubs from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Then another class until about midnight. Thank you very much Mr. Gasser. I enjoyed listening to everything you had to say. I have learned so much from you and can truly say that I appreciate you taking your time to educate us.

  6. With the Skype I learned that Russia is pretty much the same as the U.S. I thought it was very interesting that the women don’t shave and that like no one uses deodorant. I thought that it was gross how the Russians drink raw milk. Thank you Mr. Gasser for skyping with us!

  8. Thank you Mr. Gasser for telling our class about Russia. I learnt a lot about Russia during the skype. I learnt that Russia does not have mechanized farms like we do in the states. I also learnt how unsanitary and dirty somethings are because they do not really have food health standards like we do. Thank you again for teaching our class about Russia.

  9. I would like to thank Mr. Gasser for skyping with us on his very busy schedule. What I still want to know is if people are helping Russian kids in orphanages and with drug problems. Otherwise all of my questions about Russia were answered, and I also learned some things that I didn't know about. Like how the babies don't cry because they know that no onw is never going to come and help them so they don't waste their breath. That is very sad. Again I would like to thank mr. Gasser for helping me learn more about Russia.

  10. Thank you to Mr. Gasser,
Thank you Mr. Gasser for all the information that you have now passed on to our class. It was an honor speaking to you. Thank you for telling us that you have been to the hospitals and have seen such gruesome things like the cockroaches, and the un-sanitary instruments. Thank-you for teaching us about Russian culture.

  11. Thank you Mr. Gasser for Skyping with us! It was so much fun learning about the Russian culture! It is sad that none of the kids in the orphanages do not cry because they realize no one is coming to help them. I also learned that in the hotels people sleep in the halls, because of high number of alcoholism! Thank you! :)

  14. Mr. Gasser,

Thank you for skyping with us. I learned a ton of facts about Russia. The thing that interested me the most was the Russian women. It really surprised me that they do not shave. It also surprised me that to Russian women, looks are everything. Once again, thank you for skyping! ☺
